From broadcast journalism to media relations, Alyson Edwards has worked on both sides of the camera. Alyson has a diverse background in issues management, crisis communications and strategic planning for emergency services. As the Director of Public Affairs for the Saskatoon Police Service for the last 14 years she has had the opportunity to shape communications and change community perceptions around policing. She believes every media interview is an opportunity. Her background in emergency preparedness has also given her a broad understanding of what the media demands and what the public needs to know.
